On-Site Work, consultancy and training
Regularly carrying out major on site works, we have significant project management experience and act as main contractors or sub-contractors on numerous projects. We have experience and expertise in the dismantling, lifting and transportation of large and delicate objects. However, if the object is too large or fragile to be transported to our workshops, we can set up on-site workshop facilities.
Consultancy and Training
Eura’s conservation expertise is sought by a numerous high profile clients and organisations in particular with relation to Conservation Management Planning. We draw on our expertise in conservation, historical research, archaeology, and project management to assess and report the cultural, historical and current importance of an object; prepare concise and accurate documentation regarding the current state of the fabric of the piece and its surroundings and with the clients explore options to draw up appropriate specification for conservation treatment taking into account legislative and budgetary constraints. Opportunities for re-use or development are examined, as well as how proposals can be achieved in line with identified conservation policies. Assisting in the preparation of Heritage Lottery Fund (HLF) applications can also be undertaken.
Eura Conservation Ltd is the only private company involved in both pilot projects for the Institute of Conservation (ICON) Technician Qualifications. We run an annual course with the Ironbridge Institute and regular continuing professional development activities in our fields of expertise.
Expertise of senior staff is called upon in presenting papers to various UK and European research, academic and training bodies as well as the professional assessment of ICON trainees
