Mephistopheles
This spelter reproduction of a bronze sculpture by the artist Jacques Louis Gautier had sustained damage. The sculpture belonging to a private client and had fallen down a flight of steps causing it to break into several pieces. It was brought to our workshops by the owners
The sculpture had a new armature put in place and the pieces were carefully reinstated, The whole of the sculpture was suffering from minor corrosion which was sensitively removed and the whole thing cleaned with a non-ionic detergent prior to colour matching of the joins and infills and a microcrytaline wax finish. |
