Project Experience
Eura has acted as the principal conservation contractor on a number of the most prestigious buildings and projects in the UK. These have included the Albert Memorial, Westminster Central Hall, SS Great Britain, the Palace of Westminster, the Royal Palaces, the British Museum and Liverpool’s Gladstone Pavilion in Stanley Park and the Temperate House at Kew Gardens. However our skills are often called upon to work on smaller projects.
As a firm of macro-conservators with individuals accredited by the Institute for Conservation (ICON), we have considerable experience in taking the ethics & practices of museum conservation and applying them to large, complex projects, often undertaken in a construction environment (working under CDM regulations). We work as main, principle or sub-contractor, as the situation dictates. We often work to assist national contractors with the historic works elements of large projects in a sub- contractor capacity. Our skills base and experience is a valuable asset to clients and contractors where Eura becomes a trusted partner delivering effective conservation and restoration solutions to the project team.
Our experience suggests that cost-effective, ethical treatment is readily achievable when conservation guidelines’ are instituted at the outset of a project. We have considerable experience in partnering, working with carefully chosen, complementary professionals and organisations in full compliance with ICON’s ethical guidelines.
